Explanation of the second part of the crochet undergrowth
A small plant that loves the cool and shady environment of the undergrowth. The fern is much loved by gardeners and florists for its elegant bearing and there are various species.
The fern is the second plant that is part of the crochet undergrowth.
To make the fern in crochet it is necessary to prepare the leaves which are of 3 different sizes.
Needed: cotton number 10 - crochet 1.0mm - scissors - galvanized iron wire 0.45mm.
Explanation of the large leaf
Start 28 chains.
Cut a piece of galvanized iron wire that makes the complete turn of the chains plus another 5 cm or so more per side and insert it into them working a series of single crochet.
1st round: 1 single crochet. At one point do: 1 single crochet, 10 chains and in these do: 3 single crochet, 5 half double crochet, 1 single crochet, 1 slip stitch. Repeat the same for a total of 2 times. 1 single crochet. At one point do: 1 single crochet, 9 chains and in these do: 3 single crochet, 4 half double crochet, 1 single crochet, 1 slip stitch. Repeat the same for a total of 2 times. 1 single crochet. At one point do: 1 single crochet 8 chains and in these do: 3 single crochet, 3 half double crochet, 1 single crochet, 1 slip stitch. Repeat the same for a total of 2 times. 1 single crochet. At one point do: 1 single crochet, 7 chains and in these do: 3 single crochet, 2 half double crochet, 1 single crochet, 1 slip sttich. Repeat the same for a total of 2 times. 1 single crochet. At one point do: 1 single crochet, 6 chains and in these do: 3 single crochet, 1 half double crochet, 1 single crochet, 1 slip stitch. Repeat the same for a total of 2 times. 1 single crochet. At one point do: 1 single crochet, 5 chains and in these do: 2 single crochet, 1 half double crochet, 1 single crochet, 1 slip stitch. Repeat the same for a total of 2 times. 1 single crochet. At one point do: 1 single crochet 4 chains and in these do: 3 single crochet, 1 slip stitch. Repeat the same for the other side of the single crochet starting in reverse.
Stretch the leaf well shaping it with your hands and twist the remaining wire on itself. Cover it halfway with cotton, working the chains around it, the rest will be inserted into the vase.
Explanation of the medium leaf
eliminate the first two passages where there are 10 chains of the big leaf, then start with the 9 chains. Start work by starting 24 chains.
Explanation of the small leaf
The same procedure as the medium leaf only changes the points:

Lap 6 and 7: 2 double crochet closed together for the whole lap. Insert the cotton wool and stuff it by shaping with your hands.
Lap 8: 2 double crochet closed together for the whole lap. Continue to stuff. Close the eighth lap.
Lap 9: 5-6 slips stitch close the job.
Explanation of the average stone
Start 4 chains and in the first do 11 double crochet (total 12).
1st round: 24 double crochet.
2nd-3rd and 4th lap: 36 double crochet.
5th and 6th lap: 2 double crochet closed together for the whole lap. Insert the cotton wool and stuff it by shaping with your hands. Close the sixth round.
7th lap: 4-5 slip stitch and close the job.
Explanation of the small stone
Start 4 chains and in the first make 9 double crochet (total 10).
1st and 2nd round: 20 double crochet.
3rd round: 2 double crochet closed together for the whole lap. Insert the cotton wool and stuff it by shaping with your hands. Close the third round.
4th round: 4-5 slip stitch and close the job.
Explanation of the herb
Many small tufts that create a green and soft carpet. The undergrowth grass has the unmistakable scent of the earth.
Needed: cotton number 20 - crochet 1.0mm - scissors - galvanized iron wire 0.45mm - pliers.
Explanation of the tuft of grass
Start 5 chains and close them in a circle.
1st round: 11 chains and in these do: 5 single crochet, 5 half double crochet, a slip stitch in the initial circle. 9 chains and in these to do: 4 low points, 4 half high meshes, a slip stitch in the initial circle. 7 chains and in these to do: 3 single crochet, 3 half double crochet, a slip stitch in the initial circle. 13 chains and in these to do: 6 single crochet, 6 half double crochet, a slip stitch in the initial circle. 11 chains and in these to do: 5 single crochet, 5 half double crochet, a slip stitch in the initial circle. 9 chains and in these to do: 4 single crochet, 4 half double crochet, a slip stitch in the initial circle. 7 chains and in these to do: 3 single crochet, 3 half double crochet, a slip stitch, in the initial circle.
Cut about 6 cm of galvanized iron wire and insert it in the center of the initial circle. Make it come out from underneath and twist it on itself to form a small stem that allows the tuft of grass to be inserted into the vase.
If starching is required, much depends on the type of cotton used.
