How to crochet a Arnica

The mountain arnica with its sun yellow colors and enlivens all mountain meadows. A plant that grazing animals avoid due to its unpleasant taste allowing it to survive. Used very often in phytotherapy for its many healing properties. This beautiful yellow crocheted flower is also part of the composition of mountain flowers
and it is very simple to accomplish. It is composed of the flower with two sections of petals, the pistil, the bud, the goblet from the leaves that are of two different sizes. Let's start with the explanation.

Explanation of the flower.

The flower consists of 2 sections of petals each consisting of 7 petals. Start 5 chains and close in circle and inside to make: 12 chains and in these do: 3 single crochet, 3 half double crochet, 3 double crochet, one half double crochet, 1 single crochet, a slip stitch inside the circle and repetition equal to a total of 7 petals. Repeat same as another section of petals.
Explanation of the bud.
Start 9 chains and do these: 3 single crochet, 3 half double crochet, 1 singel crochet, 1 slip stitch in the first chain and in this do 8 chains and resume 3 single crochet, 3 half double crochet, a single crochet for a total of five petals.

Explanation of the pistil.

Start 5 chains, circle in and out inside: 4 chains and in these do: 3 single crochet, a slip stitch inside the circle and resemble the same for a total of 7 times.

Explanation of the chalice.

Start 4 chains and in the first one 9 double crochet (total 10 points high)
1 lap: 15 double crochet.
Once you have prepared all the flowers, buds, pistols, and cups you need for your composition you have to prepare the stem and then we will prepare a piece of plastic wire and we roll several times the cotton of the same color as the pistil get a small ball. With a clamp we will curl the tip and we will stop the cotton, thus getting the central pistol that will pivot and hold it all. In this, the pistil, the 2 sections of the petals and the chalice, as well as the bush (in the bud need not be the other 7-point pistil). For the bushings you will need to fasten to the stem instead of the plastic wire, use the galvanized iron wire, inserting it into the center of the bud and twisting it several times over about 5 cm to form a small stem that you will climb to the main stem (before hook it around the chains to cover it). Work around the stems the chains once on the right, once to the left of the stem to the length you need.

The leaves are of two different sizes, the small one you will need to stitch the bud of the bud to the stem and the large ones will be placed instead at the base of the flowers.

Explanation of the small leaf.

Start 20 chains and do these: 3 single crochet, 3 half double crochet, 7 double crochet, 3 half double crochet, 3 single crochet, equal to the other side of the chains. Now work around a lap of single crochet. Close the work by holding a piece of cotton in addition to sewing the leaf to the stem.

Explanation of the large leaf.

Start 30 chains.
1 lap: 3 single crochet, 3 half double crochet, 3 double crochet, 11 triple crochet, 3 double crochet, 3 half double crochet, 3 single crochet, equal to the other high chains.
2 lap: identical to the first except for triple crochet where you have to make 3 increases (14 points).
Cut a piece of galvanized wire wire into the leaf length more than a few inches and insert it into the leaf by working around the single crochet. The remaining iron wire twist it on itself to form a small stem that will serve to insert the leaf into the jar.

Now you are all set to create your Arnica map, beautiful on its own but also set up in a mountain flower composition as I did. Let yourself be guided by your imagination and, following your passion, you will witness the magic of seeing a small masterpiece from your hands in the air. Have fun creating. Congratulations to everyone, hello to the next.
