How to crochet a bracelet: Petali

Looking at an abandoned fishing net I thought to give it a new life by letting many colored petals bloom inside. An idea that has shaped the shape of this crochet bracelet which is the third of the 7 bracelets. The measures to make it are adapted to those of my wrist (17 cm), you naturally adapt it to the size of the wrist to which it is intended.

Start 92 little chains. Count 7 chains in the back and in the octave do: a double crochet, 2 little chains, jump 2 base points for the whole lap. Total 29 squares. Turn the job.

1 round: 4 double crochet (one full square). A double crochet 2 little chains, a double crochet 2 little chains, a double crochet 2 little chains, (3 empty squares). Again a full square, that is: a double crochet on the previous double crochet, 2 double crochet in the bow of the 2 little chains, a double crochet at the previous high point. Repeat the same for the whole turn. We will therefore have a total of 8 filled and 3 empty squares 7 times. Turn the job.

2 lap: A double crochet, 2 little chains, so for the whole lap. Close the job.

Now let's work the petals in the net that can be the same color or a different shade. Free space for your imagination.

The petals must be worked in the central net where there are the filled squares and more precisely in the central square of the 3 empty ones. Fold the bracelet at the edges of this square every time you work a petal until you have made them on all 4 sides. Fold it out paying attention not to take the edges of other squares. Insert the crochet hook in the middle of the central square and in the folded edge make: a slip stitch, 2 little chains, a double crochet, 2 triple crochet, a double crochet, 2 little chains, a slip stitch. Fold the next edge and redo the same for a total of 4 times. Continue like this for the full length of the bracelet.

Sew the transparent plastic snap buttons at the 2 ends of the bracelet. Once finished, model the petals to keep them open.
