How to crochet an African Violet

One of the most popular plants used to embellish a room corner or to embellish a window sill. Very appreciated because its flowers have the ability to blossom almost all year and exist in many varieties of colors. I enjoyed recreating this pretty crocheted floral which I now have the pleasure to share with you. It is quite easy to realize because it is simply composed of flowers, the stem with a small pistil and the leaves of 2 different sizes.
Required: cotton number 20 - 1.0mm crochet hook - scissors - 0.45 galvanized iron wire - plasticized iron wire - pliers.

Explanation of the flower

Start 6 chains, close them in circle and inside to make: 3 chains, 2 triple crochet, one double triple crochet, two triple crochet, three chains, a slip stitch inside the circle. Repeat equal to a total of 5 petals.

Prepare the small stem by cutting a piece of wire of the right length of plastic, and in a tip wrap a little yellow cotton to form a small ball. Then bend the tip of the stem by helping you with a clamp to lock and cut the piece that's over. You will have thus obtained the small pistil that will also be a pin to hold the floral.

Now we make 5 chains and close them in the circle then without cutting the cotton we put in it the stem with the floral and we cover it with green cotton working around the chains except the piece that will be inserted inside the jar. Prepare all the flower pots you need to make your own composition and place them in the center of the jar.

Now let's go to the leaves that are of two different sizes.

Explanation of the small leaf

Start 15 chains.

Cut a piece of galvanized iron wire that makes the chains 2 times more than 10 cm per side, place it on the chains and join them by working around the single crochet that will be 14 on one side and 14 on the other side of the chains. Now work as follows: a slip stitch, then one point to do: a single crochet, a half double crochet, a double crochet, two triple crochet, then two triple crochet at a point five times, a double crochet, two half double crochet, 2 double crochet, 2 slip stitch, repeating the same on the other side of the single crochet.

Tighten the iron wire over it for about 5-6 centimeters and cover it with green cotton by half around the chains, the rest of the small stem will serve to insert the leaf into the jar.

Explanation of the large leaf

The procedure is identical to that of the small leaf so I will only explain the difference in the points.

Start 20 chains.

19 single crochet per side around the iron wire and then work as follows: a slip stitch, then in one point to do: a single crochet, a half double crochet, a double crochet, two triple crochet, then two triple crochet in one point for 2 times, 2 double triple crochet in one point 5 times, 2 triple crochet in a point 2 times, 2 double crochet, 2 half double crochet, 2 single crochet, 2 slip stitch, resemble the same side of the single crochet.
