How to crochet a Marigold

Beautiful little flower that grows spontaneously in my garden, I wanted to pay tribute to it by reproducing it in crochet. It helps me in many things, now we are friends. If the morning has the petals closed, it signals to me that the sun will not come out and that it may even rain. It also helps me in case of irritated skin or small cuts, rubbing the petals or leaves gives me great relief. The calendula exists both yellow and orange, I made it of this last color, I liked it more.

I immediately give you the explanation of this little crochet flower.

First flower explanation

Start 6 little chains and close in circles
1 round: 12 double crochet.
2 rounds: 7 little chains and in these: 1 single crochet, 1 half double crochet, 4 double crochet.
Repeat at each high point below for a total of 12 small petals
Second flower
Start 5 little chains and close in circles
1 round: 10 double crochet
2 round: identical to the first flower

Explanation of the third flower

Start 4 little chains and close in circles
1 round: 8 double crochet.
2 round: identical to the first flower.

Explanation of the glass

Start 6 little chains and close in circles
Inside make 12 double crochet.

Explanation of the leaf

Start 25 little chains
1 lap: 3 single crochet, 3 half double crochet, 3 double crochet, 6 triple crochet, 3 double crochet, 3 high double crochet and 3 single crochet.
Repeat same to the other side.
Insert the galvanized iron wire and work the low points around it.
Close (remember to stretch the work well to give it the right shape and then twist on itself bun piece of wire that will allow you to insert the leaf in the jar)
Now let's assemble the flower

Cut the plasticized wire of the length you need to make the stem.
At one point, wrap the yellow cotton several times to form a small ball to create the pistil.
Now insert the 3 flowers from the smallest to the largest in the stem, then the cup that you will sew around the attachment of the double crochet.
Now work the chains around the stem and leave at least one cm uncovered to insert it into the jar.
All around you insert the leaves and here is the calendula seedling.
I have created this little pot of marigolds, you can also insert them in a composition of wildflowers or even make one as a bookmark.

Let yourself be inspired by your imagination and creativity.

I just have to wish you lots of fun and see you next time!
