How to crochet a Geranium

Wild geranium grows free and pure in the woods and mountain meadows. They are small seedlings with pretty pink flowers, perhaps less well-known than the cultivated ones that embellish the balconies all over the world. This crocheted flower is also part of the composition of mountain flowers.
This wild geranium plant is made of flower, buds, chalice, and leaf that I'm going to explain now.

Explanation of the flower.

Start 5 chains and close in circle.
1 turn: 3 double crochet, turn the job.
2 lap: a half double crochet, 2 double crochet at one point, a half double crochet, turn the job.
3 rounds: one half double crochet, 2 double crochet at a point 2 times, one half double crochet, get off to a slip stitch to the chainring and resemble the same for a total of five petals.

Explanation of the bud.

The bud is composed of 2 petals sewn on the sides.
Start 4 chains and in the first do 2 double crochet, turn the work.
1 turn: A half double crochet, 2 double crochet at one point, a half double crochet, turn the job.
2 lap: 1 half double crochet, 2 double crochet at a point 2 times, a half double crochet, get off with slip stitch to the first chain and resemble the same for a total of 2 petals.
Close the work by holding the cotton a bit long enough to sew the petals on the sides.

Explanation of the small pistil.

Cut a piece of galvanized iron wire of the length that you need to give to the small stem of the bud or flower and then attach it to the main stem. At the center of the iron wire wrap several times of the white cotton to form a small ball then twist the iron wire to create the small stalk except for about 2 cm that you leave free and allow you to fasten it to the main stem
Explanation of the chalice.

Start 5 chains and in these make 3 single crochet, a slip stitch on the first chain and then 4 chains and in these do 3 single crochet for a total of 5 points.

Insert the cup into the flower or bud and without cutting the cotton around the small stem the chains to cover it with green cotton. Same work when the cup is inserted into the main stem. For the main stem, use the threaded iron wire by cutting it to the length you need, and on a tip, wrap the white cotton to create the small pistil and close it by using a clamp, then insert the flower or bud, then the cup and a little 'down the leaves that I'm going to explain now.

Explanation of the leaf

The peculiar shape of this leaf has given me a lot to do, but after so many tests I think I have recreated it as much as possible. The leaf is made up of 5 tips: 2 small on the sides and 3 large in the center.
Start 11 chains and insert the galvanized iron wire (approx. 10-15 cm) working around 10 single crochet, turn the work. In the first 2 single crochet do:
1 turn: 2 double crochet at one point for 2 times, turn the job.
2 lap: 2 double crochet at one point, 2 double crochet, 2 double crochet at one point, turn the job.
3 laps: 2 slip stitch in the next 2 points to make: 4 double crochet closed together, go down to the slip stitch following the leaf nature to the initial 10 single crochet and in the next 2 single crochet to do:
1 turn: 2 double crochet at one point for 2 times, turn the job.
2 lap: 2 double crochet at a point 4 times (total 8 double crochet), turn the job.
3 lap: 2 slip stitch, 2 double crochet at one point for 4 times, turn the job.
4 lap: 2 double crochet at one point, 2 double crochet, 2 double crochet at one point, turn the job.
5 laps: 2 slip stitch, in the next 2 points make 4 double crochet closed together, go down to the slip stitch to the initial 10 single crochet and rebuild this leaf tip for a total of 3 times, then in the remaining 2 single crochet of the initial 10 make the same as the first tip of the leaf. So, in total, they will have 2 small droplets, one at the beginning and one at the end of the 10-single crochet and in the center there will be the 3 bigger tips.
Now, through the iron wire, close the leaf in a round circle around the flower stem.

It's a bit tough at first but once you understand the mechanism it's a pleasure to do it. Now that you have made all the flowers, buds, chalices and leaves you need to assemble your seedlings according to your imagination and creativity. Have fun creating your jar of wild geraniums or arranging them in a composition along with other flowers. Girls I always hope to have explained everything to the best and give you an idea of it. Good to everyone, hello to the next.
